Tue7PMET Session 9
JamesN for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Ahh I loved your take on this, James! I especially love your Firefighter Sam! Hahaha it's very easy to tell what kind of character he is! Makes me rethink my whole take! Also I was totally gonna do a french accent for "Later that day" too originally hahahahaa
Thanks, Josh! Yeah I think if I did it again I would use a different voice though... wouldn't want to send something that's clearly from someone else's IP, especially if it were to that network's competitor or similar 😬
Hey James - great slate - good work. so fun and simple. LOVED the struggles and efforts you put into your characters _ BOTH OF THEM - great work. Yes these embelishments are STRONGLY encouraged. The only thing you want to watch for is to not over due any one character trait. Loved that Sam was nervous and insecure and you used your breath to create the scene. Loved that the characters had dynamics - quieter, louder, to self, sarcasm, humour, reax etc. LOVED YOUR WORK HERE. The only thing you could do is edit in a couple spots of them interupting each other -LOVED YOUR TAG (THE END). I loved this - THIS IS HOW YOU NAIL AN AUDITION - so YES keep those embelishments up - so much more powerful than adding music/sfx - make them with your voice and bring them into the scene and behind the words. GREAT WORK
Thanks for the tips on overlapping, didn't know that was allowed! I figured the dialog needed to be separated for the purpose of someone else editing later (If this were an actual audition).
