Thursday Eve - Session 2
Lomithiel for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
During the read, there was noticeable improvement in distinguishing the PTD sounds, particularly at the beginning. However, as the read progressed, there was a tendency for the T's to become D's. Paying attention to maintaining consistency in pronouncing these sounds throughout the entire performance will further enhance the clarity and professionalism of your delivery. While I did enjoy this read there were somethings that stood out, the overall delivery felt somewhat flat, robotic, or unnatural. I know the goal here was to over articulate, but I want you to remember as you continue to practice and gain more experience, focus on finding the right balance between precision and injecting your own personality and emotion into the read or imagine you're reading to group of small children. This will help create a more engaging and authentic performance that resonates with listeners. One aspect to work on is reading ahead and becoming more comfortable with spontaneous and natural delivery. With practice, you'll become more adept at capturing the essence of the script and conveying it in a way that feels genuine and relatable. Remember, the journey of improving your voice-over skills takes time and dedication. By embracing feedback, practicing regularly, and pushing yourself to explore different styles and techniques, you'll continue to grow and develop as a voice-over talent.
Thank you very much for the feedback!
