Thursday Eve - Session 2
Proceed for Role
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
I would be interested in the decision you made to leave in the click at the end of the track and the rumbling at the start of the track. I would suggest removing those since they are not necessarily "part of the submission". Very interesting voice type and could be really well suited for particular roles. These tongue twists allowed you to over enunciate in a way that was clear, but may be elongated the words too much. ALso, it was clear that "propitiated" was a struggle word (it was for me as well). May be helpful to say that word/that sentence REALLY fast in a rehearsal to help not stumble over it in a submission.
It's important to find a balance between natural pacing and clear articulation in your delivery. As you gain more experience, you'll become more comfortable with both aspects of voice-over performance. Keep in mind that acting out the script and portraying the characters authentically is just as crucial as articulating the words clearly. This will help bring the script to life and engage the listener on a deeper level. Regarding the pronunciation of T sounds, it's essential to pay attention to specific words where T's may sound like D's, such as "pottery." Taking note of these instances and practicing them specifically can help improve your pronunciation over time. Remember to focus on tongue placement and ensure that the tip of your tongue lightly touches the ridge behind your upper front teeth to create a clear and accurate T sound. Keep up the great work, and don't be discouraged by any challenges you may encounter. With continued practice and dedication, you'll refine your skills and develop a more natural and confident voice-over performance. If you have any further feedback or specific areas you'd like to address, please let me know, and I'll be happy to provide additional suggestions.
