His mental health really downspirals when his best friend leaves to explore. On his journey, he encounters many new people and places causing him to slowly enjoy exploration and accepting change.

*walking and talking to someone* I just wish I was back at my base. *feeling nostalgic* Oh that base... It was perfect.
*sad, crying* I don't know what to do. I feel so overwhelmed. I just want my old life back, and as much as I don't want to admit it I know deep down that's a horrible way of living. But even still... I can't help but feel that way even now. I'd do anything to have it back.
