While he might be deceased and lived 400 years prior to their time, he is in truth Sakura and Light's father, his whereabouts a mystery in the time that passed since he saved the Kingdom and the birth of Sakura and Light. While he might be a king, he is very modest and sincere, seeing into the hearts of others and always seeing the good things in life.
