*Say something you think would fit*
Hey Mia - thank you so much You start off yelling - which is fine - but once you start at 100 you have no where to build to - and as frustrated as your character is, they don't have to yell for such long periods of time. They can have more dynamics. You defintely internalize more as the story changes so thank you for that. What is missing is any dialogue from your partner that you're talking to. By that I mean there is no time for any reactions from who you are talking to, you are just on them and there is no stopping you. I think if you spent time (while you're performing this) pretending to hear what they had to say while you were talking to them, it could have allowed you more reactive tones and broke it up a bit so it wasn't so STEADY in that frustrated emotion. More dynamics and range - HOWEVER - I LOVED WHEN YOU SIGHED and got intimate "I feel sorry for you". That was a beautiful switch there - loved that. Brought me right in. So this needs some direction and range but decent job overall - because you did switch it up eventually and it was well done
Thank you very much Deb! I guess I'm still under the impression that my character IS going on and on because the other character isn't saying anything, hence why their monologuing. But what you said makes perfect sense and I'll definitely work on that for future monologues to come. :)
