In a similar vein to that of Gary Chaulk, I'm not looking for a "Peter Cullen soundalike", I'm instead looking for a different take on Optimus Prime that still gives that "Optimus" feel.

There is definitely potential in this role. The voice changer definitely leans more into the Peter Cullen type of role, however I feel like this is potentially something that could make a unique take on the character instead.
Could you possibly do a take without the voice changer (or any other post-processing), speak maybe a half a step lower in pitch, and instead of going for a "dad" kind of tonality (which is what Cullen is known for), try to go for more of a "fearless leader" kind of tonality (basically less Cullen more Chaulk in line delivery).
