This role is simpler and easier than the complex animator role but still takes effort. This role combines both rough animation and clean animation, meaning it is a lot of work. If you wish to audition, you must be able to:

- replicate the series’ style even from a storyboard that may be in a different art style

- create fluid movements (hand drawn, frame by frame work, not tweened or rigged)

- animate patterns on the characters and keep them in place

- get your scene to the point where the line artists only have to trace over what you have made

- bring to life the emotion and acting of the characters
