This take on Simone is a very intelligent one. Not necessarily nerdy, but more nihilistic. He's part of a faction of his village that drills for suicidal therapy. He misses his grandpa, and his drill necklace is the only thing he has to remember him by. Interpretation is open, but please do take it in the direction of teenager!
Thankfully, the self-destructive faction of the population has the aid of natural selection on their side. However, being destined to wind up in some radical shenanigans as my grandfather once prophesized, my luck with that hasn't been so good.

I like what you bring here, but this voice in particular is one I feel would be a nice fit for timeskip Simon, rather than his 14-year-old self.
