Hey Josevo!(forgot your real name :) First off, your voice is so naturally smooth and calming! I could definitely hear it in an audiobook, or narration. That said, I think it was a little too calm and smooth for this read sometimes. Some more energy could be good to me. I also feel like the pacing of the read was very similar throughout. Last thing, I feel like the ending almost ended in a question. It didn't have a strong, this is the end of the read delivery to me. Now to end on some positives, I loved your delivery of the very first "get connected". It was welcoming! I also liked how overall it wasn't announcery at all! You didn't try to make your voice into something it isn't. Good job dude!
Hi magellanator, I appreciate your critique and your kind words. Yeah, I wasn’t sure - as you mentioned - of how much energy to read into this script but I did feel better with this type of read vs a more energetic in-your-face type.
hey Jose Love your tone - you have such a nice welcoming vocal tone. It's so pleasant and friendly. You did a good job for clarity and energy - however the energy all stayed in the same place. Would love to add more variety in here so that different feelings are brought out (which is what you guys are about to learn all about) and having fun bringing out more of your personality. This is a good safe read, but we really want to work hard on natural - even in a script like this. So it's just a matter of playing with more dynamics. I can't wait to hear what the voice of yours can do - Love you in intimate (even though this wasn't intimate- I can just tell) and love your sensitivity - it will do very well in many aspects. Then we would want to push some characters on you that are totally opposite to that, which will likely be harder for you as you sound like you have such a nice warm and loving personality. Being arrogant for example will likely be more difficult for you, but your signature will make you the most money -so keep being you. Looking forward to hearing more from you and watching you grow.
Thank you so much for the feedback Deb! You’re spot on with needing more variety and bringing out more of my personality! Looking forward to your wisdom!
