Hey Reimond! Well done. I liked the energy. You sounded excited about the career fair! However, I don't know if that energy was consistent throughout. I also liked the varying of pitch to emphasize and give variety, but it felt a bit forced at times.

Hey Reimond. Thank you so much for having some fun with us. Good job focusing on your clarity. Only one part had a slight mumble. I can tell we still need to focus on this for you for sure and as we grow in the course you'll be able to add more flavor to it. You gave a nice energy here and there is some fun character in your voice which will lend itself so nice to animation. It sounds like you have a bit of a lisp so this is likely why clarity has to be a focus for you - you are also a fast talker - however you did a great job with the speed here. Remember if you get slurs it's usually resulting from going to fast on that particular word or phrase so over articulate and slow down when necessary - which I think you're getting a good handle on. Now we just have to add some more acting techniques into the mix as you learn them, so you will hear great growth. Also for someone with a slight lisp, you will have to be careful what microphone you choose as some microphones have strong pick ups and it will exaggerate. So a really nice FORGIVING mic for you that I might recommend (which I will for everyone towards the end of 201) is the MXL 990 with shockmount. It's a very forgiving mic that doesn't have an exaggerated pick up pattern. Lisps can be so awesome for creating characters. It can be a little bit limiting in narration and commercial unless you know how to mask it and there is no ONE answer for controlling lisps because it really depends on where its coming from. For some it's the size of the tongue. For others it could be placement of the tongue, and sometimes it can be controlled and sometimes it can't, so I look forward to finding the best characters so we can have some fun with it. Sometimes exaggerating it can be SUPER fun in characters. The key is knowing how to bring in and attempting to take it out. Great energy here - good base to start - I was glad to hear you not trying TOO hard to articulate - so great work there.
