Urara has a laid-back demeanor, as she is usually seen carrying around an easygoing smile on her face but comes off as being a little outspoken; most notably towards Maruo who she told to his face, upon their first meeting, that he would make a fitting yakuza due to his thuggish appearance and unintelligence. While a child, Urara is shown to have some level of maturity, not being one to fall for Kabukicho's dangerous aspects and made sure that Maruo was warned before they had entered the district. Despite this, she was quite playful when making sure he kept his word. Urara has no desire to drag others into her problems. After the Uwan Family confronted her and Maruo, Urara demanded that he leave the scene since they were originally after her. In addition, she also has no desire to get involved in other people's situations if it has nothing to do with her goals, as she refused to help or have Maruo do something about Ten being harassed by Nyudo.

Urara is very prideful and confident, if not downright arrogant. Although she had to initially run away from the Uwan Family, Urara was later confident that she could take them all on by herself after they confronted her and expressed how inferior they were compared to her. After challenging Amamehagi to a ritual duel against Maruo for ownership of his office, Urara wagered herself if her subordinate lost, stating that she is valuable enough to set the conditions. As a yakuza boss, and of high nobility as Kio's daughter, Urara speaks with authority and demands respect from her underlings, as she told Maruo that she will not accept him addressing her as anything else other than "Nee-san" (姉さん? Literal meaning: Elder Sister) whenever they are together and menacingly berated Hashihime for getting up from kneeling before her without her permission. She is also shown to be immune to verbal intimidation, which she finds pathetic for a yakuza.
