Monologue Homework: please record the following 3 scripts in ONE MP3 FILE. Try a simple slate off the top: "Hi this is _____ _____, reading for Homework Class 7"

We are looking at showing range within each emotional sector. Emotions mix, change, and vary. Try and give yourself an imagined scene this can work in that allows you to be present and adaptive, as if it was real life happening right now.

Don't stop your body from making suggestions like life sounds, breath changes, non scripted words and sounds as it offers them. See what happens!

Anger Script

WHAT THE HELL TOOK YOU SO LONG? WATCH YOUR AIM YOU NIMBISUL! HAVE YOU GONE MAD!  DAMMIT THEY MUST HAVE FOUND OUT THAT I ESCAPED... THAT WAS JUST TOO DAMN CLOSE. YOU NEED TO BE MORE CAREFUL! THAT PATHETIC SHELL OF A MAN KILLED HIMSELF, AND IF YOU LEFT ME FOR ONE MORE MINUTE IN THAT PLACE I WOULD HAVE GONE NEXT.

Fear Script

The flames are getting closer...spreading through the streets of the city. The only choice I have is to feed them, or die trying. The Armonds are moving in to stop me. They’ve got me surrounded... (pause) I need help, and the only ones who can assist me, might be worse than the disease itself.

Disgust Script

What the hell was that? I don’t get it

How can you even stand looking at it? So what you just fall into the garbage and carry it around with you like it was perfume?  Well it’s not

And it’s not funny.

Seriously it’s nasty – do something about it!

I can’t handle this...

Lovely slate :) very natural. ANGER: thanks for letting us know how you're seeing this. Great focus and nice honest intensity. I'd love another flavour or two in there as we get some time with "you" so might as well open it up as much as you can but this is a great interpretation. Maybe a bit more intensity/power even seething to keep that idea/world alive as you imagine. FEAR: Nice core expression of that here. Again stays quite similar throughout but we get some good affect and life sounds. After line 1, the mid with such determination is nice, we lose most of the fear from there on for me which is intriguing and brings new ideas as to how this might exist. Interesting. DISGUST: Fun understated work here. Nice shifting/adapting even with a pretty consistent representation but it works, as we buy this as one scene IRL.
