Maria is a 40 year old Mexican woman who owns a chain of fruit carts in NAS, one of which Austin currently frequents. She is a sassy, caring, motherly, beautiful, witty, intelligent, strong, independent lady who isn't afraid to tell it how it is. She's one of the funnier characters in the series, and at least in the scripts her personality clicks perfectly with Austin- they make a funny pair! They have a strong bond with each other, which consistently drives Austin's wife crazy. Maria is going to be a recurring character throughout the series.
