Amanda believes in the the thin, blue line that separates ordinary people from crime. She believes she helps reinforce that line every time she's out on patrol or at her desk doing paper work. Bureaucracy often gets in the way more than it helps and procedure is for those who don't have experience. She isn't a monster and she doesn't do her work because of her ego. She is conscientious, careful, and puts safety first.
Yeah. There are a couple bad apples in the bunch. But that's why we don't pick and sell just whatever apple falls from the tree, do we? We go through training, the academy, we take classes and workshops. We do the paper work and we assume the risk. Do some of us abuse that? No more than in any other job, my guess is. You can't do this kind of work without authority to back you up. Period.
