He would sacrifice 1 million lives to potentially save the lives of people in the future. He has spent his whole life on researching and coming up with possible solutions. And he will not let anything ruin his vision, and definitely not his plan. He is ruthless, cold, and calculated. But he sees himself as the hero, although he feels no remorse towards fellow humans.
