Lisa is a strong character. She works hard to support her family and support her husband in her dreams. Even when she is tired, she still shows a sort of uprightness when around Brooke and Alvin. However, she is getting fatigued by working. As the series progress, we will see how that impacts her.
[Lisa hears Brooke still watching tv despite it being late and a school night. She comes into the room] (frustrated)
Lisa: Brooke, it is midnight! You need to get your butt off of the tv and go to bed!
[Lisa greets Brooke as she comes home from school. Brooke says she was hanging out with Mia] (jokingly)
Lisa: Oh, Mia! That girl still on her Nintendo?
[Lisa and her husband, Alvin, are having a hushed conversation about Alvin's career and their financial situation. They do not want to wake Brooke up even though she is awake] (hushed, desperate)
Lisa: I don't know, Alvin. Nothing's biting for you. Maybe... (she thinks for a quick second) Maybe I can do night shift. Just to help us get by.
