Red is a bridge guard in Impasse Pass near Yold town. Mario originally finds him trapped in the third dimension with no way out, then rescues him. Red cares about his job, while also wanting to assist his hero. He is the foil to the character Green and has a prejudice against the color.

His voice should be medium-low to medium-high. As far as character goes, I'll let this be up to interpretation.

But if you want to give him the voice of Mario from the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, don't let me stop you...
