SIGH XALE for Gareth
Gareth is an old, silvery, wizardly looking man. He appears old enough to have lived a few hundred years, and definitely talks that way too, and yet he's spritely in his age and doesn't hesitate to use his cane when he feels someone has insulted him. While he is absolutely a cantankerous old man, it is clear that there is more to him than a simple elderly wizard. He has some hidden goal or objective, and he doesn't tolerate many delays in his pursuit of them.
He sounds like an old man, but one that can still go out and see the world. He sees to the truth of things and is not afraid to call out what he sees.
Gareth is one of the primary side characters. He is recurring throughout the entire story, not every episode, but he always comes back. So, would like someone who is in for the long haul.
At this point, Gareth has fallen into a pit trap, and he's been stuck in there alone for a while. He's embarrassed, flustered, and growing impatient of his present predicament. He gets ruffled that the party members are asking questions and just wants to be pulled out.
“It doesn’t matter how I got down here, just get me out.”
At this point he is resorting to bribery and guilt trips to ensure that these strangers pull him out of his blunder.
“Cause, damnit, It’s the honorable thing to do!” sigh “I’ll pay ya if that’s the incentive you need, or information. I’ll also remind you of a little thing called Karma, it comes around buddy. Just pull ya guy out.”
He's not one to default on his word, but he is definitely prioritized on getting back to his mission. He doesn't want them asking him too many questions, so in his wise, learned state, he is trying to hurry the interaction along.
“Let’s just say I’m a bounty hunter, but what I deal in is information. I was on a trail, and slipped into this mess. That’s not really important. Either way, it’s unlikely you’re going to run into another well informed person out here. So, best figure out what you wanna know, quick. I’ve got things to be doing, and I’ve fallen noticeably behind.”
I like your voice, not necessarily for this character. There is another reoccurring character that will be coming around that is a kid investigator type if you're interested in that when it becomes available. Thank you for auditioning!
