Reiner is this generation's wolf, he is a werewolf but hides his identiy and tried to get to know Lil Red a bit before revealing his identity. Though he exknowleges that she is this generations Red Riding Hood, he has bigger things to concentrate on then his role as the Werewolf. He has people to protect and things to gather where as Lil Red is constantly thinking of her position, how to protect the humans and to be eknowleged by her grandmother. He knows the perils of this world if you are different, but sees something in Lil Red that sparks an interest.

So you are this so called new Red Riding Hood? Hmmm, nothing. just expected you to be more taller, scarier, a bit more blood thirsty. Well, you know the story, Little Red Riding Hood walking to her grandmothers house, meets a wolf and next time she sees him, the wolf dies. The murder of a lone wolf that sparks the movement of the whole nation to banish all magic folk from their lands. (Back to joking) Pretty impresive if I do say so myself.
(Angry, you have had to protect her from the three bears)
What have you done?! What do you know?! You are just a child, a mere child who knows nothing of the outside world, the struggles every creature and being have to go through. You are meant to be this almighty Red, a saviour of the weak! Does this look like you saved anyone! You got your friends hurt and ran the owners of this house away. Because what, they were bears! She was the one who trasspased into their home, stole their food and slept in their beds!
(After an argument, he sheepishyly comes to talk Red out of a big mistake)
You shouldnt go in there. Your friends did and they have already fallen asleep. I know you don't want to see me but Its too late for them now. Look, I know you don't like me but I am here trying to save you. Why? You don't need to know. Though you may not believe a werewolf like me, but I am being honest and saying the truth.
