King Hiryuu was once the Red Dragon God.
One day he decended to Earth and became a human to start a kingdom. However, humans found out about him and captured him to use his power. When the other Dragon Gods came for Hiryuu and wanted to punish the humans, Hiryuu said that he was a human now and that even if he was betrayed by humans he still loved them. The other Dragon God decided to hunt down certain humans to become his warriors and protect him as he creates his kingdom.
(Jokingly: the fandom calls him Dragon Jesus)
King Hiryuu has a very kind demeanor and cares deeply for not only his subjects but also his Dragon Warriors.

Voice Type: I would like Hiryuu to have a smooth and soothing tone to his voice. I would also like his voice to be between the medium-high to the lower-medium.
[Giving Zeno his medallion after he realizes Zeno's fate] This was something the Dragons granted me when I decended to the Earth. I shall give it to you. It is proof... that I will always be with you. [The other Dragon Warriors ask if they get one too] Oh, I only had one. [Sees their comically disappointed faces] Did you want one? [Laughs when Shuten stubbornly says that he didn't want one anyway]
[Gently] Zeno, come here. What's wrong? You're not your usual cheerful self. Is something worrying you? I won't be able to sleep in peace if you're like that. [Concerned] Zeno?
[Laughs] To me, you all look like cute dragons being silly around each other. [Shuten tells him that it's too early for him to go senile] That's harsh.
