Green Arrow: Year One (An Audio Drama)
moorenarration for Gina McKenna
Gina is a hardass police captain with a heart of gold. She's genuinely frustrated with the corruption taking place in her city and is keeping it together the best she can as her newest problem, a vigilante with a hood and a bow, starts taking his own justice to the streets.
This whole thing looks too intricate to be for a simple robbery... Look at the choice of weapon and the tactics he used. Our perp wasn’t after money, this was about sending a message.
What the hell are you looking at? Instead of gawking at your S.O, why don’t you get back out there and get more information on this “Hood’ guy. I want him off the streets before things get worse. Dismissed!
It’s my turn to talk now. (pause) The day I heard that your boat went down, I cried for days over you and Tommy. I cried over the fact that the last thing I told you was that I hoped you burned in hell. Then I was angry with you for being so irresponsible, for leaving and not trying to fix the things you broke… Finally, I had to understand that our relationship was not just toxic because of your decisions, but because of my actions. It takes two to tango and I not only enabled your bad behavior, I then punished you for it without taking responsibility for myself. I had to learn to forgive myself for my own sins before I could even think of forgiving yours. So, while I appreciate you coming here and admitting your own wrongdoing, you can save the apology. I forgave you a long time ago. But that doesn’t mean I need you back in my life. Not when I’m on a better path in life finally.
