Karen comes to Pizza World every Fridays and Saturdays with her son's soccer team. At first glance, she may be a stereotypical Karen but she is a CWPP employee and can help expedite Jane's case.
[You are the customer. You make a call one morning to CWPP where you work to report this new case]
Customer: Hey, it’s Karen. I need you to create a new file for Jane Lee. Domestic violence. The abuser’s working at Pizza World as the cook, his name is George Lee. I’m sending you an address.
CWPP: Yes, ma’am.
[You call the victim to see how they're doing. You try to reassure them.]
Wife: Ms. Smith?
Customer: Yes, Jane? How are you?
Wife: I’m at the hospital.
Customer: Dear Lord… what happened?
Wife: George… he-- he threw our china at me. Look, please, don’t let George know about this. Don’t make it worse.
Customer: Okay. Okay. You have my word. You will be safe.
[You just got word from CWPP that they're asking for more evidence to bring Jane in for protection and benefits.]
Customer: Hi, Jane, we need to compile all the evidence you have against George for a full investigation and protection.
Wife: I-- I have audio recordings.
Customer: We need more. Do you have video recordings? Witnesses? Character testimonies?
Wife: No… I-- I don’t know. Please… I’m scared.
