Incredible voice! You'd make a great narrator for space operas and historical documentaries. I think you can afford to be a bit more dramatic when talking about wars and humanity being divided. That would really give edge to your delivery.

Thank you! I agree that my delivery could be more dramatic -- I'm hoping with more practice, I will become less inhibited :)

You conveyed some great character choices here. I could picture you as an evil queen or one who Had to be bad due to the constraints of power.

Oh wow, an evil queen. I love that and hadn't considered exploring that direction! I'm still trying to figure out what works for my voice. Thank you for planting the seed.

I like your pacing! It feels like a well-paced intro to a video game, something I've heard many people say about the script that I can really attribute here! This actually reminds me of a game called Baten Kaitos where the intro is read by a wise woman. I would personally like to see you continuously add emotion to the various aspects of the script, so we see more of that wisdom. Keep adding layers to your character so there is never just one thing. Are they a resentful wise individual? A small layer like that can affect your entire read, you made a standout choice here and I think that's wonderful. Keep building.

Thanks Burger! I will make more of an effort to figure out the backstory before recording my assignments/auditions. I do appreciate the tip about continuing to add layers. I may tape a pic of an onion to my monitor as a visual cue! And now I will look up Baiten Katos on YouTube -- not being a gamer, I don't know how often women get to voice intros and am glad that I now have an example to learn from!
