Tired from hours of staying up late studying for tests, followed by long relentless hours working in the emergency room. Leslie needs a break. I imagine she sighs a lot, and makes a lot of emotion-depicting sounds rather than physical emotion depiction. Try that!
LESLIE: (on the phone with her son.)
Hi sweetie! So sorry I had to get into work so early, we had a couple more overnight patients than last week, so they needed mommy’s help extra early!
LESLIE: (Just heard of the violent-sounding game her son is playing.)
Oh! That sounds… ahem... Child friendly!
LESLIE:
Buh-bye dear. I’ll see you all in twenty-four hours. Or more, who knows! (weak laugh.)
