Ian is a soft person, physically and emotionally, possessing a sweet and patient disposition, and nerdy sentimentalities. However, he is in possession of as much sharp wit as Denver is, he just doesn’t really utilize it for… bullying. He’s very quick on his feet, and intelligent, and has a pretty dark sense of humor. He’s usually just too quiet for people to notice. He has a sense of loyalty to his childhood best friend, as she was the only one there for him during the bullying he experienced throughout high school. These experiences also made him a colder person than he initially lets on, though he only really shows this to people who irritate him.

Ian has a gentle, if a bit warbly voice (similar to Wyatt from Weird Science) but he is one of the characters I am most flexible on - as long as he comes across as soft spoken and intelligent, things like cadence and quality of voice are far less important. Ian’s hobbies are very musical based, so the willingness to sing for this role is a plus - you do not have to be very good though, and I have yet to write anything that utilizes this. I can work around it at your comfort level. He has a problem putting others before himself, and also taking the cruel opinions of others to heart. He’s been trying very hard to get over this.
