Glorious Purpose for Paige - Leader of Foundation
Paige is an older African-American gentlemen & former Union Boss before the Great War of 2077 in Washington DC. Surviving the nuclear exchange, he gathered as many survivors as he could and headed to greener pastures. He's street-smart, tough, and very suspicious of outsiders - but once you gain his trust, he's your man.
This is the introductory scene for Paige - where he needs to be convinced that this "Scorched Plague" is a serious danger to both him and all of his people.
Paige: “Hello folks. You must be the outsiders that Ward told me about. So, what’s this about a Plague and you wanting to help?”
Paige: “You know folks, we’ve been all around since the war and met plenty of people so far, we haven’t had many problems with the others around here, except for those Raiders. And it sounds like you want us to work with them or something?”
Paige: “That was Kathy Pollard. She was one of our best scavengers. She’d been gone for a while with her partner, but that wasn’t unusual. (pause) I’ll have to tell her family.”
“I don’t even...I never imagined. We’ve seen some horrible things in our travels, but this (pause) “it’s worse even than the Pitt. (pause) Okay, I’m convinced. If you can help our people and prevent more of that, then we’re on board.”
