Ryu may pick on Little Mac a lot, but he's more similar to Mac than he thought. Ryu, deep down is still mourning over his master, Gouken whom he also lost a while ago. He takes his frustration out on Mac despite deep down wanting to bond with Mac so they can help each other move on from their losses. He likes being the tough guy, so his rudeness towards Mac comes from now knowing how to handle his own emotional side.
(Cocky) Is that all you got? Doc would be very disappointed in you... although I suppose he'd be too busy stuffing his fat face with chocolate bars to even notice you.
