He paid them to bodyguard him to the city as they were also on their way there and gave them important and useful information. They became acquaintances and now visit his shop often. He is a friendly and easy to talk to person.

Fran was the quiet type, but I couldn't understand how the man would misunderstand her response.
"If it's all the same with you, would you like a ride? You're headed to Alessa, aren't you?"
