Character Description: Keitaro was born on September 13 and is sixteen years old at the start of the story. He is a second year student at Kodama-yami High. After school, Keitaro works at a café called “Lovecraft” along with his friend Shoji Fujioka. Keitaro’s mother is the owner of the café and is struggling with an illness, something Keitaro is very anxious about.

Voice Description: Keitaro is much more outwardly serious person compared to his best friends, Shoji Fujioka and Akira Maki. This makes his voice more passionate and makes his lines more serious sounding. He has a tendency of sounding sarcastic at times. On an emotional range, he is an emotional person, the intensity in his words is heartfelt when in serious or tense scenes.

  • “He’s probably off sleeping somewhere again. Say, you two wouldn’t have seen anyone lazing about and dozing off somewhere, did you?” (He is asking about his best friend’s whereabouts.)

    “Of course he is. Guess we should just let him be, he works himself to the bone at the café everyday, so I guess he deserves some rest.” (He is talking about his best friend.)

  • “I’m betting emergency services have already been called. We should get out of here before the police arrive and lock the school down.” (He is explaining to his friends after witnessing someone jump off their school’s roof.)

    “I can’t believe that just happened. What the hell is going on? This whole craziness in the city’s scary, but seeing it happen so close—there’s no doubt in my mind that it’s the same thing.” (He is conversing with his best friend about what they just witnessed.)

  • “Think about it Shoji. No one has any recollection of who that girl was and why she would off herself like that. It was just like the rest of the deaths on the news lately.” (He is deep in thought, conversing with his best friend about a mysterious phenomenon.)

    “People’s memories of a singular person don’t just disappear at the same time, it’s impossible. This isn’t normal and there’s something else going on, I know you think the same.” (He is continuing his conversation with his best friend.)
