Strings has never been corrupted like some of the others, he will hunt the player, but it's for the reason that if he doesn't do this, Freddy will find a way to dismantle Strings, so a life for a life. 

Strings has one rule, he will never kill children.

Strings function: 

Freddy and Friends' New Family Diner(main area in the theme park)

Strings can turn invisible but you can always hear his footsteps, He is always visible on the cameras. If he is looking at a camera you are also looking at, switch cameras fast or he will know where you are.
