A kind, intelligent monster. Acts a motherly figure for the protagonist and wishes nothing more than to protect them from the world outside of the Ruins wherein she resides. She's also known to be a fan of puns and bad jokes, on top of one day wishing to become a teacher.
(Comforting and soothing with a motherly tone. Despite the Age category, looking for a more middle-age sounding voice with perhaps a more senior infliction. It must be stated that this is the ideal voice, but don't stray too far off from those descriptors.)

How about an exciting snail fact? Did you know that snails...make terrible shoelaces? Interesting.

The voice could be a bit older/deeper. You have the other points down, though.
