Axelus is the main character of this questline and also appears in one other quest in Wynncraft called "From the mountains", in which he and the player capture fire monsters that have escaped.

He introduces the player to the conflict between the Dwarves and the Doguns and enlist their help to try to resolve it. He is a prominent member of the Coalition that has been working towards peace between the two groups and is the son of the king of the dwarves.
