Hey my friend - good stuff - some nice layers in there - loved that the mood changed and had different layers to your delivery. A slight bit of clarity issue in the beginning but it wasn't too bad - just something to note. I think you gave us a really nice journey here. Some good stuff. Some areas that could use just a slight bit of direction but good work.
Really loved the shift in emotions, especially around the halfway mark. There could have been a more gradual transition, but probably not necessary. The biggest critique would probably be the mic distancing. The first section had a lot more intensity and energy, which upped the volume. For your next sessions, try getting more distant from the mic during those high energy areas, and leaning in closer for the softer more intimate lines. Speaking of which, I really liked those softer moments in this clip! I felt like you did an even better job emoting there, and had a subtle if wider range of emotions displayed
Okay, first off, this felt AMAZING to listen to. From the ad lib to the slight sighs and pauses, it felt so natural and lovely. The only things I could notice really was at 1:20 or so when you said 'ridiculous theater degree', it sounded like you faced off to the side or something, it just wasn't as clear as the rest of your recording. And at 1:35 when you said 'don't you see how badly I need this?', you had a pause before badly that felt kinda off. Though that may just be me not quite catching what you were going for, I tend to do that a lot, so take what I say with a grain of salt XD And to reiterate what Deb had mentioned, your beginning seemed to have a bit of a clarity issue, but after the line 'Just because you hate it' you fixed that right up! Perhaps you didn't clear your throat out quite right before you started? I'm not exactly sure. The only other things I can think of to mention with this is just by being super nit-picky, like how we can hear you take a breath in the beginning before you started, and that the dead silence at the end of the recording lasted about a half a second or so a little too long, but like I said, that's just extreme nit-picking, not at all important. All in all, this was a downright mesmerizing experience. Nice job!
This is great! The main thing that I would work on is the slurring at the start. Emotions definitely make it so that people slur a lot at times, but the enunciation drops too much at times and it's harder to hear every word clearly. I really love the muffled "fuck", and the dynamics of the audition generally. It's always shifting, which is great, and never boring. It feels like you get way more into it as the audition goes on - the start is the weakest part, which you should try to make sure doesn't happen as we all know most people judge pretty quickly when listening to auditions.
