Hilda Hughes: An Institute Story (Fallout 4 mod)
imalive for Hilda Hughes
First thing to note: the glassess in the below image are not sunglass. They're regular glassess. Thet just appear dark in the Creation Kit. Also, no one's necks are bloody. Again, the CK just makes it look like that.
Hilda is the largest part with 293 lines.
Hilda Hughes is the Director of the Robotics Division in the Institute and serves as the protagonist of the Institute Story mod. She has had a passion for robotics and for synths since she was a little girl and that passion has stayed with her all her working life. Her current passion is the Prototype Synth Project which was run by her Division over 100 years ago. Hilda is currently researching this project to find out what she can learn about the history of synths, the Institute, and life before the war. In addition to this, Hilda is also concerned about a missing synth which starts off as the secondary focus of the mod but comes to the forefront once all prototype memories have been viewed.
When talking about her work, Hilda has a tendency to become over-excited and tends to ‘baby’ staff working below her. When explaining a premise to the player she will often talk down to them, assuming zero knowledge, and take on the tone of a school teacher talking to a pupil. In addition to her work, she also has to take care of seriously unwell husband, Hogarth. Hogarth has become convinced that danger lurks around every corner and that he will die at any moment. For initially unknown reasons, Hogarth believes that in the event of his death his body will be rebuilt in the last bed he slept in, at the exact moment he slept in. This means that if he dies he will, in his own words, “loose his progress” and have to “start again.” He always carries an enormous amount of water with him and keeps food secreted around their room. Hogarth is a source of great stress and frustration to Hilda. She loves him a great deal, but is getting to the end of her rope caring for him.
Ahh, so you’re Father’s father are you? Interesting. You’re a little… younger than I imagined but I suppose that’s to be expected. I suppose we should cause you ‘Grandfather’ haha
You know I wouldn't be saying this if I didn't love you, Hogarth.
This isn’t any kind of life. These hour-long naps are wasting most of your days, and the water you’re drinking!
