Frank Castle is a former member of the United States Marine Corps. Being very well trained in many forms of hand to hand combat, Frank earned a reputation for being a soldier who could get the job done if needed. After leaving the army, he returned to his wife and 2 children, where he promised to have a normal life as a husband and father. Unfortunately while taking his family to Central Park for a picnic, a shoot out between to gangs ensued, with Frank's family being killed in the process. Greif stricken over the death of his family, Frank dedicated his life to destroying all crime by any means necessary. As The Punisher, Frank has made a new reputation for himself as a vigilante who's willing to murder all criminals he finds and anyone who gets in his way.
