Carlos is nearly 18 and Hispanic, about to graduate from the Wards, and is recognized as an effective and intelligent leader. His power gives him unique biology that makes him especially survivable - in his one appearance in the story, he has a punctured lung that changes the sound of his voice.

“Punctured lung, ma’am,” Aegis rasped, “I think there’s a hole in my front and back.” (3.x)

“We debrief,” Aegis grunted, “Gallant or Clockblocker handles it. You two decide.” (3.x)

“Part of the reason,” Aegis grunted out the words, “I told her to stay. Don’t need that. I’m going to shower. Patch myself up. You guys debrief.” (3.x)
First off you got a good voice there, but I want you to try this again. The reason I ask this is because you made the same mistake many make about a pierced lung. Watch Christopher Lee(actor for Saruon in Lord of the Rings) explain stabbing someone. He explains that someone stabbed in the lung cannot make loud noises or grunts, barely even weezes, because the air escapes faster than they can collect it. and he knew this from experience doing it to others in war. And I am NOT trying to rag on you, I made this mistake for a full hour, doing audio recording after recording, until I remembered this. You got a good voice and I want to see if you can do better than I can do.
