Thanks for that insight! I've rewinded the sound off the top and I'm intrigued by it. A slate, watermark, pre thought, moment before, part of scene etc? Great wild and unpredictable laugh from Demon King and love the texture and spontaneous nature and so in the moment, breath and life sounds throughout. Very full of life. Seems like it gets cut off at 36s while there was maybe still resonance to finish on that last laugh? Otter: With eating, are you envisioning them swallowing it whole and just doing effort to get it down? That's how I interpret that sequence as recorded. Who are they telling that to? How do you know them and what experience do you have with this event that you have reason to believe it could be too much for them. The characterizations are great, let's see how it evolves with more of the 5W's imagined too.
With the slate, Honestly, I forgot to mute my phones audio playback, but I kinda liked the echo effect it left so I kept it. For the food part, you nailed it, despite saying the food is delicious and savoring it, he basically inhales it out of excitement and greed, its a bit of a show of his scatter-brained scientist act (doing things that seem non-sensical to throw off any suspicion about his true nature). The second part of the scene is the scientist talking to the hero who he believes is insignificant. He as the professor is trying to gently hint at the idea that he might not be enough to handle this situation. This in Demon king zaza's mind is a means to scare off the hero. He wants him to be shaken by this goofy professor (who thought swallowing a seafood cake whole was a good idea) having concerns about this device.
