Virtual Band still open to any musicians who want to help out
kalevwildman for Tristen Go (Guitarist)
Of all the member's, he's probably the best at the instruments that he plays, however, at the same time, he has the least musical knowledge of the four. He's the quickets to get angry or embarresed of the four but whenever he catches himself doing that, he tries to play it off cool. He's also probably the most pretentious of the group, but I don't want that to come across as too obvious in his portrayal. It's more rooted in the dialogue, so like, you might not notice it at first but when you really think about what he said, it kind of hits you.
Remember: I want the characters to sound as natural as possible. This doesn't mean you have to use your natural voice, but the reactions and way they say things need to sound as genuine and believable as possible.
[In an interview of some sort]
Um... I guess my style is kind of a combination of Tom Morello and Dick Dale. I used to listen to them a lot as a kid so I like to take their best qualities and kind of roll them together.
[Later, when asked about his opinion on the Gorillaz]
Yeah, Claw said that he couldn't put his finger on it but there is something similar between our videos and theirs, at least, aesthetically speaking. I've never seen their videos, I've only heard that one song with that weird laugh and the one about Sunshine in a bag. Their singer does kind of remind me of the singer of that one British rock group with the song where the guy screams "Wahoo". What was their name... Oasis I think?
[In response to what claw was was saying about how they met. Look at the line I wrote under Claw's character get the context. This would cut off Claw right after he says "posession of"]
(Angrily shutting him up) CLAW! (Pause) Heheh, ignore that, he's just drunk rambling.
[He's completely hammered and says this when trying to hit on a girl. He also says it in a very blunt, straight way.]
Uh, I guess we're like the Beatles, but, um, just better.
(These are instructions, don't send me you saying the following) Just have a sample of you singing to any instrumental version of a song. Just to give me a basic idea of what your singing voice sounds like. If you make up a voice for the character dialogue, preferably just use your natural singing voice for this.
New setup
Definitely a lot better quality. You are a great artist and musician. I hope you get the part.
Hey thanks a lot! I appreciate that. I'll probably end up posting a third take by the time this is over as my setup keeps changing (for the better).
