Tex-Cole for The Craftsman Acting Guild Members
These guys are our extras. Their parts are pretty small, but played up and played right, they can be just as fun as the rest of them. These are usually more physical parts designed for slapstick on stage, but seeing as this isn't a stage production I've taken the artistic liberty of giving them personalities within the dialogue.
Francis Flute - Cast as "Thisbe"
He's finally growing a beard and he's casted to play the woman in the play. We're looking for a comedic contrast between his speaking voice, and his high pitched Thisbe voice.
Robin Starveling - Cast as "Moonshine"
They're cast as the moon, well the man in the moon. They lose their temper a bit when their part is questioned by the nobles, so If anger is you favorite schtick to play- try this one out
Tom Snout - Cast as "Wall"
We're going to make them very absent, not paying attention, bored, yawning, tired. If you can find a way to mumble in monotone while still annunciating your words, that would be great!
Snug - Cast as "Lion"
The sweetest cinnamon roll, the kind of person who asks if it's okay to hug you. We'd wand a 'small' sounding voice that just wants the best for everybody.
As far as these audition lines go- Ignore the numbers- read for whichever characters you're interested in. Read for one of them, two of them, all of them, whoever. Just have fun with them!

[groans/sighs/grumbles/whatever before switching to 'thisbes' voice]
Most radiant Pyramus, you are as white as a lily, and your cheeks, the color of a red rose on a splendid rosebush, a very lively young man. You are as reliable as a horse that never gets tired. I’ll meet you, Pyramus, at Ninny’s grave.Starveling / Moon

I-it's not actual horns, it's supposed to mean crescent! Anyway... This lantern is the horned moon, and I am the man in the moon-
.
Look! All you need to know is that the lantern is the moon! I am the man in the moon! It's craters are my craters! And it's orbit?! My orbit!!!Snout / Wall
I am a wall, but not just any wall. I am a wall that has a little hole in it. The lovers... Pyramus and Thisbe whisper very secretly through this hole. I'm carrying clay, cement, and stone to show that yes... I am a wall. It is the truth. And this is the hole through which the frightened lovers will be whispering or whatever.
Snug / Lion
Dear ladies, with gentle hearts that quiver at the sight of a monstrous mouse that crawls around on your floor, you may be scared when the wild lion roars in his violent rages. Please know, that I am Snug the carpenter. I'm no lion, I'm not a fierce lioness. I am just a human. If I were a real lion and I showed up to cause trouble for you, it'd be the worst mistake of my life
Apologies for the wait- oml the range was just too entertaining- the total 180 between the characters just sent me for whatever reason- I loved that- thank you
I'm glad you enjoyed it!! Thank you for checking it out!
