Session 1
GGuerrero for Homework
Full details of homework is on Closing Credits
Your read is super soothing. I like the attitude you have in the first half, and gentleness of the second half.
I always thought that my voice sounded... rough. It's gratifying to hear that most people think otherwise. Thank you, Bella.
Thank you so much for your slate. Try now to give me your slate in a fun approachable way vs just STATING it like you have to. Be proud of you and want to introduce yourself to me. I LOVE your tone - it's unique but it's cold - so it will likely come across alot more negative than you mean it too. So you might have to play with more smile and approachability in your characters so they don't all come across negative. AT THE SAME TIME - omg villains are going to be awesome for you. I absolutely love when you get intimate - you have this unique aggression in the intimacy that really draws you in. So the postive is we can really play with this side of you and find home for a few different characters that you will love and be most comfortable with - however we will also have to work on some more approachable friendly characters - so I very much look forward to your range. I would right now cast you as The guy in the dark alley - selling WHATEVER - lol - or the guy who works for the mafia, or a Lizard villian. I just hear really cool interesting tones in your voice, but you will have to always work on some approachable characters as well to balance it out. There just aren't enough villains to pay the bills full time. LOL
My apologies about the slate. To be honest, I tried doing it with a smile on my face over a dozen times, and every take had the loudest of mouth clicks. I thought to myself "I'm not sending that to Deb". Much to my frustration, I decided to have a go with it with my normal voice. Ta da! One take, no mouth clicks whatsoever. But, yes, I took it to heart when you told me that I needed to work on my approachability. During the entire week, I spoke to people in a much more approachable and relaxed manner. Getting rid of the usual scowl that I have on my face. Suffice it to say, that they were not used to this "new" me. Regarding the unique aggression, I'll just say that I had years of practice on the matter. Thank you so much for this well thought-out feedback, Deb.
