Role assigned to: Jayte

Lysander is a hopeless romantic. He flirts with poems, ballads, gifts, and the sweetest compliments. When laws stand in the way of his true love, his first thought is to run away under the moonlight.

He is a noble and speaks rather posh and formally
British accents are more than welcome but not required
All you need is softness, sweetness, and elegance

1-3 takes for each line, however many you're comfortable with

  • My Lord, I am just as noble as Demetrius. I love Hermia more than he does, My heart's in the right place, and Hermia loves me back! Which is more important than anything else, so why can't I marry her?

  • I have an aunt. A widow with no children, very rich, thinks of me as her own son. She lives maybe twenty miles away from Athens. Let's run away together. Far enough away from this place, that the law cannot reach us! If you love me, sneak out of your father's house tomorrow night, and meet me in the forest just outside of town

  • Get lost you pebble! You useless, pesky weed! You acorn!

Nice flow and energy. It doesn't feel like you're reading lines so much as just acting. I'm curious though, what kind of equipment are you using? It's very staticky on my end. I'm wondering if we can find a way to edit that out. Aside from that, I like how you handled his character! Very sweet

Thank you for the compliment, it means a lot. I'm using a Blue Baby Bottle SL; it wasn't recording as staticky, so there might have been a problem exporting, I'm not sure.

Oh dang wow, I wonder what the heck went wrong with the export then- that's really strange. Anyway, yeah! Thank you for the amazing audition despite the weird staticky audio nonsense, I hope it doesn't give you too much hassle
