Think wannabe edgy freshman and that's pretty much Zephyr.  (Shh we love him).  He wants to be on his own, but the rest of the cast never seems to allow that.  There's never a moment of silence and at some points Zephyr gets annoyed and adds to the chaos.  Acts grumpy, annoyed and grouchy but in reality he's sensitive and has a kind heart(which shows with a few cast members).  If it helps add to his character for you, he really likes theatre but would never admit to it.  He definitely wants to seem a bit intimidating, but he never really comes off that way.  

You can do whatever you want with him!  I'll choose whatever I like most for him, but I'd say definitely go for a little bit of a deeper pitch if you can.
