Gruff and gritty, Brooks is the shining example of a battle-hardened vet. Opting out of a senior officer position, he kept his boots on the ground and a rifle in his hands. Brooks leads the charge against the Outlaw-controlled station.
"Stack n' check that lock. Make it quick, patrol hits us in twenty."
"Alpha Lead to Garuda Team, we've gotta pair of bogies comin' in hot. Need you boys to hit 'em with a Rattler."
"Lotta lives gonna be lost if you boys don't get those legs movin'."
I was going to submit for this, but then i listened to this. Can't get much more gruff and gritty than this. Smashed it right out of the park man.

I intend to! And for whatever its worth, I think your audition, especially that combat bark at the end, was top notch. I wish I could record shouts so naturally.

Seconding what Esaldanha said, that last line was on point. Reminded me a bit of Nathan Fillion in Firefly/Halo!

Props where they're due, it was excellent! My only critique would be the audio quality which obviously has nothing to do with skill. Any chance you could seek out an improvement in the next month or two? I can see you've got lots of potential and I'd hate to see your options limited because of it.
Thanks mate! I recorded it on my phone because i couldn't find my mic, I just moved house and would have to rummage. Listening to it again it's pretty poor quality which i feel shocking about. I have an AT2020 and an ATR3350 boxed up though. I'll pull them out in the next few days though
