    Turns out that I forgot to turn off my laptop mic' when I was recording, so I was accidently using that instead of the one I had plugged in, and I was also using my laptops voice recorder. I've switched off the laptop mic' and managed to find a recording program called audacity that can edit out white noise, so hopefully my quality will be better.
