Hey, I don't know if you wanted feedback from outsiders, but I just wanted to suggest getting a better mic if you want to do voice acting. Consider looking into an XLR mic with an audio interface, you'll love how you sound with it. :D
Yeah, I don't really have a mic yet, as I don't have my monitor set up yet, but thanks for the suggestion! I'm just trying to find my way around to make the audio more clearer for now :,)
There is also the Blue Yeti Snowball Microphone that is popularly used, but I don't have experience with that so I'm not entirely sure of its quality, all I know is that it's popular. Hope you get a mic soon! :D
The blue yeti is a USB, not an XLR, and I have used one but the audio results were less than satisfactory for auditions. ;(

So, when it’s comes to mics, price doesn’t always equal better. The Yeti is like $100, but it’s just a USB. Meaning that’s how it’s powered, you plug it in and you’re good to go. You can mess with the gain a bit, but you can’t get the same sound as an XLR. And XLR is a microphone that connects to N interface, which allows you to alter your recording volume and gain to perfectly suit the voice you’re doing. You can scream into sam XLR and you won’t get that annoying, scratchy sound that USB mics make (if your settings are right). You can get the AT2020 XLR and a Scarlett Solo for about $200 total. And it’s a great XLR mic to start with. You don’t realize how much better you sound until you use one. And most projects (at least ones that want high quality audio) will ignore more USB mic auditions.
How interesting, thank you for mentioning all this! That's super surprising considering the good reviews I've seen of it. My microphone right now is the Amazon Basics Condenser which is super cheap and beginner-level at $60. I definitely will keep in mind your advice for when I invest for my new equipment, $200 for that mic and additional gear seems like a pretty good deal. I want to get rid of plosives and have a more clear crisp audio. You mentioned the Scarlett Solo, which I never knew that kind of gear existed when I looked it up. I assume it's for the XLR microphone to connect to? I'll definitely look into that. Thank you again!
Yep! There are tons of different interfaces out there, but the Focusrite Scarlett solo has worked well for me over the years, and it’s very simple to use. I’m currently using an AT4040 XLR, about $600, but I want to upgrade even further someday. If you’re passionate about voice over work, never settle for something with good reviews. Shoot for something with amazing reviews and experience! The professional studio voice actors usually use a Neumann TLM 103, so that’s what I want someday, haha.
Ohh they're interfaces, and wow $600 holy smokes! Haha, I was already feeling like I was using a lot of money for the microphone I have right now LOL XD. I'll definitely keep in mind to never settle for anything mediocre. I hope you get to have the microphone you aspire to have!
I used to have a blue yeti snowball. Absolute garbage! You can listen to some of my clips on my profile from before December of 2020. It’s honestly sad quality compared to the mic I have now, which isn’t even that good. I meant to get an XLR, but it took 3 months for it to arrive and the return date has long come and gone by the time I got it, so it was too late when I realized my error. I entrusted someone else to order it for me, and I thought I was clear on what I needed, but I guess not. But I got what I got and either way, it was an upgrade.
Thanks y'all telling me this! :D Honestly, I probably would have brought the Blue Yeti Snowball microphone if I didn't know. I'll keep in mind to buy better mics once I get my monitor set up.
