….Then about ten to twelve kids jump out of the van and start beating the crap out of both of them, bloody bats and chains flying, kids screaming from across the street, it was horrific.  

Drizzle was severely beaten, left lying in a pool of his own sidewalk art, but still breathing. … and Fistfax, who looked to have gotten the worst of it, was shoved into the van, as it peeled off, before anyone could stop them.

 I turned to look at Drizzle, both tears and blood dripping from his face, ….  he could barely even push out a sound, but somehow he was able to get out the only words I ever heard him speak. He said 'It should have been me, …. It should have been me.'
