Being the 1ST NSR Artist you fight in the game; DJSS or DJ Subatomic Supernova is a space-themed NSR artist who specializes in Disco Stellarum / EDM at Club Planetarium or in his district Cast Tech. He is a deeply self-important and self-centered person who albeit his intellect is smarter than his peers and allies can come off as a bossy and rich man who dismisses others with his attitude. Even going as far as saying that NSR is only a stepping stone for his goal of becoming an "avatar of the earth" so that he won't be forgotten.
Originally, it is shown through playing the game and unlocking cassette tapes during his battles on other difficulties that he was an Astrophysicist / University Professor before retiring to become an NSR artist.
"Rock? Fascinating. Hmm. That is fascinating──your limited aspirations, your misplaced efforts. You remind me of...Pluto! Once thought to be a planet of the solar system but no longer is."
