Loud, brash, stubborn, clumsy, practically a man child, strong, caring, determined, in some ways he is like a typical anime protagonist but no divine sense of purpose or wants to save the world or anything. Adam just wants to help wherever he can one step at a time.  Although he does consider his purpose in life to revolve around making Jame's life as hard as possible.  He also becomes a babbling idiot around Sarah as he was a little crush on her that everyone seems to have noticed except for Sarah.
