Phil is Ask's best friend, although, it's mostly one-sided, as Phil views Ask as a duty-dodger, who prefers to go make out with Captan Quiin, rather than actually do his job.
Is generally indifferent to the Empire and only really serves in the Navy because he wants to get paid.
Is of Mandalorian descent on his mother's side, though he doesn't know or care.

(Exasperated tone) I hate Admiral Tecksis so much. I want to get a transfer to Admiral Ozzel's ship, at least they get things done over there.
